About Us

DeMeritt Hall, an integral part of the great lawn and the Physics Department, is scheduled for renovation by replacement in a construction project beginning this summer.

DeMeritt Hall, which houses the UNH Physics Department, is one of the oldest unrenovated buildings on campus.  That is about to change.  Originally constructed in 1914, DeMeritt Hall is scheduled to be torn down and rebuilt on the same location; the construction project is expected to last from June 2007 to July 2008.  This project is part of the NH KEEP project, with $18.3M funding from the State of New Hampshire. The University is committed to raising an additional $2.5M for this project.
